A recent study explored the effects of a proprietary Bacopa monnieri extract (BME) on memory and cognitive health. The 12-week trial involved 80 healthy participants who took 300 mg of BME or a placebo each morning. The BME, provided by Samriddh Nutractive Pvt. Ltd. under the brand name B-Lit Bacopa, contains 90 mg of total bacosides. The study assessed memory and cognition using various tests, including the Creyos battery and serum samples to measure Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) and cortisol levels. Results indicated that those taking BME showed significant improvements in memory and cognition, with effects appearing as early as Day 14 for cognition and Day 28 for memory. Additional benefits included reduced anxiety and improved sleep quality, with significant changes in serum cortisol and BDNF. According to Aditya Jain, CEO of Samriddh, these findings underscore Bacopa’s potential to support cognitive health and overall well-being.
