According to the latest news report, Batory Sweetener Solutions (Rosemont, IL) has formed an agreement with NutraEx Foods Inc. (Burnaby, BC, Canada) to make its SugarLike line of products available for distribution. The news was published in the multimedia publishing brand, Nutritional Outlook.
The Canadian sugar reduction experts, NutraEx, have formulated the SugarLike products in such a way that they can be used to substitute conventional sugars for sweeteners that have a less caloric value. This would result in 100% sugar replacement or reduction with plant-based ingredients that are all-natural and non-GMO. This new line of products lessens flavor linked with natural artificial sweeteners and has zero glycemic indexes, which prevents sugar spikes.
According to a press release, with the distribution of the SugarLike series, customers can have healthier, low-calorie food and beverage choices. The formulators of SugarLike line have made use of a proprietary dry embedding technology. This technology enables the distribution of stevia or monk fruit, which are high-intensity sweeteners along with bulking ingredients such as erythritol, allulose, or sugar. The main idea behind making these embedded sweeteners is to reduce sugar intake while letting their targeted consumers enjoy the fabulous, sweet taste.
