A systematic review and meta-analysis of six randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 1,529 participants investigated the impact of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) pretreatment on IVF/ICSI outcomes in women with DOR. The study found that CoQ10 significantly improved clinical pregnancy rates, increased the number of optimal embryos, and enhanced the number of oocytes retrieved. Additionally, CoQ10 pretreatment was associated with higher E2 levels on the day of hCG, reduced cycle cancellation rates, and lower miscarriage rates. It also led to a reduction in both the total days and doses of gonadotropins (Gn) used. The results indicate that CoQ10 is an effective intervention for improving reproductive outcomes in women with DOR, though further large-scale, well-designed trials are necessary to confirm these findings.
