NOW Health Group has reported finding 11 counterfeit versions of its supplements on Amazon USA. The company, which is based in Illinois, discovered that the capsules’ packaging, labels, and contents had been compromised. Some of the counterfeit capsules contained white rice flour instead of the advertised ingredients, while trace amounts of the erectile dysfunction treatment Sildenafil were found in some samples. Amazon responded by blocking sales of counterfeit supplements.

In addition to blocking sales, NOW Health Group requested that Amazon recall all sold products by the seller A2X1 and provide a list of its customers. The company also identified several vitamins from another major brand that were sold by the same seller. To prevent future incidents, NOW Health Group maintains an ongoing testing program for supplements products sold on Amazon.

This discovery is part of a larger trend of counterfeit goods appearing on e-commerce platforms like Amazon. Counterfeiters may use the platform to sell fake goods that can be difficult for consumers to distinguish from genuine products. Companies like NOW Health Group are taking actions to protect their customers and their brand reputation by actively monitoring online marketplaces and reporting fraudulent activity.
