A small pilot study revealed that Nektium’s Vanizem, derived from the West African spice Aframomum melegueta, significantly improved mood, reduced stress, and enhanced sleep quality within three days. This botanical extract, rich in vanilloids 6-shogaol, 6-paradol, and 6-gingerol, was tested on 30 adults aged 40-50. Participants showed reduced anxiety and improved mood and sleep quality with doses of 100 mg and 150 mg. No adverse effects were reported, demonstrating its safety for daily use. Further in vitro research indicates that Vanizem impacts the endocannabinoid system and TRPV1 receptor, contributing to its beneficial effects.
