This clinical study tested oral and topical trans-resveratrol on skin health in women aged 40+. Participants were assigned to placebo or active treatment groups for 8 weeks. The combination of oral and topical trans-resveratrol significantly reduced wrinkle scores compared to placebo, while topical application increased sebum levels. Other skin parameters showed no significant changes. Serum trans-resveratrol levels rose in oral treatment groups, and all products were well tolerated with only mild adverse events. Overall, oral plus topical trans-resveratrol improved wrinkle reduction, and topical use enhanced sebum production, supporting its potential role in skin health and anti-ageing care.
