A significant advancement presented in the study is the isolation of a water-soluble antioxidant complex rich in phenolics and flavonoids from palm oil processing waste. This extract has demonstrated strong antioxidant activity and promising anti-cancer benefits, particularly for skin and breast cancers. Its water solubility also makes it a valuable ingredient in nutraceutical and cosmetic formulations, especially for skin-aging prevention.
