Glycation, build-up of advanced glycation end products (AGEs), damages skin proteins and speeds visible aging. In a 12‑week randomized, double‑blind, placebo‑controlled trial, women aged 40–65 with moderate skin dullness and texture issues took a rosemary‑extract nutraceutical or placebo. The rosemary group showed significantly greater improvements in dullness, roughness/texture, redness, and pore size by week 12, and overall skin quality improved by weeks 8 and 12. The supplement was generally well tolerated; one participant stopped for moderate gastrointestinal upset. These results suggest rosemary extract with natural cofactors can meaningfully improve multiple signs of skin aging associated with glycation.
