Microphyt (Baillargues, France) has introduced its flagship ingredient, BrainPhyt, a groundbreaking product for cognitive health support. BrainPhyt is a patented ingredient sourced from the microalgae Phaeodactylum tricornutum and is standardized to contain 2% fucoxanthin. Utilizing Microphyt’s exclusive Camargue technology, the microalgae used to create BrainPhyt are cultivated in photobioreactors, ensuring a sustainable and controlled production process.
A recent human clinical trial validated BrainPhyt’s efficacy in supporting cognitive health. In the study, 66 healthy participants aged 55 to 75 were given either two 275 mg capsules of BrainPhyt or a placebo for 24 weeks. The results demonstrated that BrainPhyt supplementation improved memory, executive function, attention, and vigilance. However, the study has not yet been published.
