L-Glutamine Improves Immunity and Recovery in Combat Athletes

In a 3-week trial, combat-sport athletes taking L-glutamine (0.3 g/kg/day) showed enhanced mucosal immunity (↑IgA, NO), better testosterone/cortisol balance, fewer URTI incidents, and improved well-being compared to placebo. L-glutamine supports recovery and immune defense after intense training.
