A six-month clinical study in 44 adults with sub-optimal cholesterol found that a daily tablet of Ritmon Colesystem® a combination of berberine, olive extract, fenugreek, artichoke, and sunflower phytosterols significantly reduced LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol. Participants, who had LDL-C between 115–190 mg/dL and were not on cholesterol-lowering drugs, saw LDL-C drop by 7–10 mg/dL and total cholesterol decrease in a similar pattern. Triglycerides remained unchanged, and HDL changes were minimal. Researchers suggest this nutraceutical may offer a safe, non-drug option for people with low-to-intermediate cardiovascular risk or statin intolerance.
