A 3-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study (N=149) found that hydroponically grown Red Panax ginseng (200 mg/day, 24 mg ginsenosides) significantly reduced perceived stress (PSS) and negative affect (PANAS) while enhancing cognitive performance. Participants in the ginseng group showed faster response times in spatial planning tasks (OTSC subtest) and a trend toward improved emotional well-being (BDI score reduction) compared to placebo. These findings highlight Red Panax ginseng’s potential for stress management and cognitive support.
