A new study reveals that the combination of creatine nitrate and caffeine significantly boosts cognitive function in resistance-trained athletes. In a double-blind, randomized trial involving twelve male athletes, researchers found that a seven-day supplementation regimen improved cognitive performance, particularly in tasks requiring rapid mental processing, as shown by better scores in the Stroop Word–Color Interference test. While no significant enhancements in exercise performance were observed, the co-ingestion of these supplements proved safe, with no reported adverse effects. This finding suggests that athletes can enhance cognitive function without compromising physical performance by using creatine nitrate and caffeine together.
