A leading pharmaceutical company with specialization in women health

A pharmaceutical company specializing in women health wanted to use nutraceuticals to address women’s fertility health conditions. Nutrify Genie – A managed D2C intelligence platform was deployed alongside  a highly skilled research team to map the health outcome expected of the ingredient to clinical human trials existing worldwide. The company decided to do a validation of each solution provided by Nutrify Genie. The products were subjected to accelerated stability study and commercialized within a year in the Philippines, Malaysia, Middle east, India, and African Countries.

 

Challenge :

Ideation : Being a leading pharmaceutical company, the major concern was how to ideate a nutraceutical portfolio that would be backed by science, regulatory compliance, formulation types desired. The company had hired agencies and tried ideating in house and spent over a year, but the confidence was far from reality at the business development department.

Each idea opened up pandora box of regulatory doubts, ingredients doubts, clinical backing, rationale of ingredient cocktail confusion, formulation, and contract manufacturing audits.

 

Solution :

Nutrify Genie – A managed D2C intelligence platform was engaged with background information as shared above.

A weekly progress timeline was prepared, having 45 days to move to lab.

The Nutrify Genie platform was deployed. The platform along with highly trained research team mapped the health outcome expected to the ingredient to the clinical rationale to human trials existing worldwide. The permutation and combination created using over million datapoints on the platform was referred to the regulatory auto correct feature of the platform that ensured that the label claim generated is unique, backed by clinical data, IP& Non-IP data.

30 permutation and combination backed with scientific data and regulatory status for 14 countries was presented to the company in the 2nd review meeting.  The company was used to 4-5 options given through contract manufacturers. 30 was overwhelming. In a way, they were spoilt for choices to make. Going with technology support followed by industry experts at nutrifytoday, we curated the product options to 10 with mapping on packaging options, place of potential manufacturing and targeted transfer price. This was put up for review in 3rd week.

The company decided to do a validation of each solution provided by Nutrify Genie. It took 4 four weeks for the company to come back with their approval. The production was mapped to India and Malaysia. The products were subjected to accelerated stability study and commercialized in 1 year time in Philippines, Malaysia, Middle east, India, and key African Countries.

An average GC /GM (Gross margin) of 70 was achieved.

The platform also supported the company in making choices on creative agencies to design differentiated packaging.
