Dietary Fiber Lowers Diabetes Risk in Prediabetic Adults

In a year-long randomized trial, daily dietary fiber significantly reduced central obesity, fasting and post-meal glucose, HbA1c, triglyceride/HDL ratio, and diabetes incidence in middle-aged and older prediabetic adults. Benefits persisted at 12 months compared with health education alone.
